What to track after finding a job

Keep the employer, role, application activity and next action together. The useful question is what happened and what you need to do next.

Saved for review

You found an interesting role. Review its requirements and decide whether to prepare an application.

Application in progress

You opened an employer form or prepared a resume. Check what is still required before recording a completed submission.

Submission evidence

Distinguish your own submission report, a confirmation page seen by the copilot, and an acknowledgement from the employer.

A practical weekly review

  1. Revisit saved roles and remove those you no longer want to pursue.
  2. Check that applications you intended to send were actually submitted.
  3. Review replies and decide which applications need a next step.

Common questions

Does opening an application link mark a job as submitted?

Opening the employer site is application activity, not proof of submission. Check for a completed form or employer acknowledgement before treating the application as sent.

Can I prepare a different resume for each role?

Yes. Open the role’s resume-tailoring workflow and review the proposed changes before using that version in an application.

Does tracking an application contact the employer?

Recording application activity does not itself send an employer a message. Submit forms and follow up through the appropriate employer channel.
